Welcome to WorldSecurity.io ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us"). WorldSecurity.io is a real-time geopolitical intelligence platform operated by a sole proprietor based in the Netherlands. By accessing or using this Service, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by Dutch and European Union law, including the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek) and applicable EU consumer protection regulations.

2. Service Description

WorldSecurity.io provides a curated intelligence dashboard that aggregates, categorizes, and displays geopolitical events in real time. The Service consists of:

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By subscribing to a paid plan, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement. The free tier does not require account registration.

4. Subscription & Payment

Premium access is available as a monthly subscription at $4.99 USD per month. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your credit card details.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights)

Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in Dutch law as Afdeling 2B, Titel 5, Boek 6 BW), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.

However, because WorldSecurity.io is a digital service that begins immediately upon subscription, you acknowledge and agree that:

Notwithstanding the above, we offer a voluntary 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, contact us within 7 days of your initial subscription and we will issue a full refund. This guarantee applies to first-time subscribers only.

WorldSecurity.io is built on open source software. Key components are based on the koala73/worldmonitor project, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0).

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The information provided by WorldSecurity.io is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind — including but not limited to financial, investment, legal, security, or military advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (such as liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence under Dutch law).
